Project Location: Downtown Toronto, Ontario

When the salon owner first reached out, her vision was clear: to create a space that felt elevated, welcoming, and reflective of the experience she wanted every client to have.

The goal was to transform the salon into more than just a place for appointments. It needed to feel like a destination where clients could relax, feel confident, and enjoy the experience from the moment they walked through the door.

The Before

The space was functional, but it didn't yet reflect the refined experience the owner wanted to create for her clients.

The potential was there. It simply needed thoughtful design, careful planning, and a clear vision to bring it to life.

Reimagining the Layout

Rather than simply filling the salon with furniture and fixtures, the focus was on creating a layout that felt intentional and easy to navigate.

The redesigned space allowed for:

• A more functional flow between service areas

• Clearly defined zones for styling, washing, retail, and waiting

• Client comfort and circulation throughout the salon

• Better use of available square footage

• A cohesive experience that supports the salon's brand identity

The Concept & Design Direction

From the beginning, the vision was to create a salon that felt warm and relaxing. A neutral palette, natural textures, and soft curves helped set the tone, while black accents, and warm wood finishes added contrast and visual interest without overwhelming the space.

Just as important as how the salon looks is how it functions. The layout, materials, and furnishings were selected to support the day-to-day needs of the business while creating an environment where clients can feel taken care of.

The Final Outcome

What began as an empty space evolved into a welcoming, polished salon designed to elevate the overall experience while supporting the day-to-day needs of the business.
